Guy VanGelder

Born and raised in Belgium Guy played his Minor and Junior hockey in Belgium and Holland.
He was selected many times for the National U18 and U20 Teams.
After junior he played in the Elite level for several years. He started coaching at a young age and has been coaching at all levels from Minor to the Elite Level.
He was also the assistant coach of the National U20 and Head Coach of the National U18 program.
Later he was Head Coach of the National Women’s Team for six seasons with whom he went to several World Championships.
Guy got his IIHF coaching level in 1986 and his U.S.A Hockey Level 4 in 2004.
He also attended the first ever IIHF Development Camp for Women in Vierumaki in Finland.
Guy has been involved with the Turcotte Stickhandling Hockey School for almost 20 years and has been working as a head instructor for the last 14 years.
Guy now lives in Ilderton, north of London Ontario, with his Canadian wife Lisa and son Mitch.
